Birthday

Today is my friend, Sherry's birthday. She'd be upset if I revealed her age. We've been friends for many years and have helped each other through a lot of trying times. I'm glad I met her.

4:17 am....

...and I can't sleep. I looked at another apartment yesterday and it's nice. It's a bit farther from work, but it has a full basement (minus gangs of spiders!) and it's been well maintained. I want to rent it but am having guilty feelings about moving out of this apartment because the landlord has been very nice to me. I'll figure something out.

Thank goodness today is my day off.

Car rental agencies...

...SUCK!

I went to the airport to rent a car to go home to visit my family and the rental fees are outrageous and you have to bring the car back with a full tank of gas-which happens to cost $3.25 per gallon!

My car is having problems overheating. There may be a hole in the radiator hose so I'll be getting that checked. It's a good thing work is only three minutes away.

I'm going to view an apartment this afternoon because this apartment building is now on the market. I don't want another landlord coming in here and raising the rent, because I'm already paying more than it's worth for all the problems it has. (i.e., no heat, leaking kitchen ceiling... etc.) Oh well, we'll see.

Death in the family.

My uncle Mick died today. I haven't seen him in years. He was my father's brother. He lived in Michigan and died of heart problems. It's sad that he never kept in touch with family. I remember when my father died, he didn't bother to even show up at the funeral.
