New Year's Eve!

Well, I hope everyone is having a great NYE! I'm going to do exactly what I've planned on doing all year, tonight. Uh-huh, you guessed it and exactly at midnight. I was told a long time ago that whatever you're doing on NYE, you'll be doing it all year long. Oh yeah, baby! haha

When a stranger calls...

I just watched the trailer for the new movie When a Stranger Calls. I remember seeing the original movie when I was young. I was just beginning my own adventures in babysitting at the time. I found it on DVD at Amazon and watched it again. It's not as scary now as it was when I first saw it but I'm looking forward to seeing the new version.

New Catalogs

Well, today I received a bunch of mail-order catalogs. I love shopping from catalogs and online. As I was throwing some of them away, I came across this cute verse. I know Christmas is over, but here goes...

Bitz 'n Pieces

Things in my life have changed in the past few years. It's almost a year since Mom died and I'm still having a hard time with it. People tell me it gets easier but it hasn't so far, still seems like yesterday. I wish I had her back. I never realized how much I need her advice and how much I took it for granted that she'd always be here for me. I'm really happy we were close. My son has had a really hard time with her death. After losing his best friend last year it was hard for him to go through it again with his Nana. They were very close. He was her only grandchild. My sister and brother decided not to have children and I was the one expected to never have kids. Wow, do things ever turn out like you least expect.

But, that's me, always doing the unexpected.  I've come to realize life is short. Make good choices and have as much fun as possible.
