Christmas Day 2007

Today, Sonia and I got up early and opened our presents before Pudgy got out of bed. Sonia made coffee and we had a good time laughing and talking. The dogs opened their gifts. Simba took Sheba's away from her as he thinks everything belongs to him. We both miss Mom a lot. I wish she was here with us. Christmas isn't the same withour her. She and I used to open our gifts on Christmas Eve when everyone was home after making their deliveries. We'd save a couple to open in the morning.

We had a very nice dinner. Sonia went all out this year. (I helped) A couple of Sonia's friends came and we all had a great time. After dinner, Peter and I went to see Jamison and Eva. The kids had a nice day and liked their gifts.

Christmas Eve...

...tonight I was supposed to be home by 5:15, but there was a plane diverted to our airport and I had to stay over for about 45 minutes. I got home about 5:45 pm. I called Peter from work and he was waiting outside my apartment, after just returning from his sister's house. He picked up his brother-in-law's pick-up so he can bring some of my stuff back after Christmas.

The drive up the Interstate was nice and bright under the full moon. It lit the whole way. I slept most of the drive due to the fact that I'd been up since 3:00 am this morning. We arrived at Jamison's around 9:30 pm and stayed until 11:30. Peter dropped me off at Sonia's soon afterward and then left to go to his mother's, where he is staying. He'll be having dinner with his Mom and Dad tomorrow.

Getting connected...

Today, I finally got fed up with waiting to get a phone connected and drove down the street, to Unicel, and bought a cell phone. It's a Sony Ericsson w300i. It has a lot of features including caller id, call waiting, a camera, texting, etc., etc., etc.
