Here I am...

Today I arrived in Chelsea, Massachusetts for training for my new job. I'll be in a hotel for the next nine days, which could be interesting. I have to be in the classroom by 7 am tomorrow morning! Of course I had a seat right behind the wing....

...my hotel room and the panoramic view from my window. Not the greatest location in the greater Boston area but very close to the building where we'll be having class.

I met a nice girl in the hotel this afternoon, we talked for at least an hour. hmmm.....

Alrighty-then.

Itinerary

I received my itinerary yesterday for my flight to Boston. I'll be there for nine days. I'll be back in Maine on the 5th of June. I leave next Sunday and I'm really looking forward to it. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is getting on that tiny 19-seater plane.

When I get back I have to go to work in Bangor. I have to get my ass in gear and work on weekends to get moved out of my apartment and find one near work. Got my work cut out for me I'd say.

Oh well...

Last day of work...

...I'm really going to miss working for Fred. I'm also going to miss a few co-workers who are really good to work with. I've enjoyed supervising for the past year and wish I could have made more money and had some benefits, then I probably wouldn't have sought other employment. And the job being directly across the street didn't hurt.

Oh well, "when one door closes, another one opens." Nice quote huh??

Extension!

I'll be working at the airport in Bangor. The movie "Langoliers" by Stephen King was filmed there. Most of King's books are based in Maine. He doesn't live far from that airport, actually. As a matter of fact, a good friend of mine was an extra in that movie. Did you know that when you sign on as an "extra" you aren't allowed to look the actors in the eye?! Give me a break. I guess they really think they're special.

I spoke with the coordinator for my new job and we worked out an extension of two weeks before going to training. I'm just not ready yet. I didn't realize how much "stuff" I have to deal with to get out of here.
