Exam Scheduled

Well, I finally have an appointment to take an exam for a job I'm hoping to get soon. I hope I pass! I'm ready for a change. Now that my son is grown, back on his feet and out of the house, I'm ready for something different. I really suck at taking tests, must be the fear of failing or something. Well, I'll keep ya posted! :) Wish me luck!

Bored

I have been so bored lately without Jamison home. He calls and I go visit but it isn't the same as if he was at home. My little boy is all grown up. That's a good thing, I realize, but it's just hard from a mother's perspective. I've been with that guy for 20 years, almost every day. It is so nice to see him enjoying his life, being a man. I'm so proud of him. I love him so much.

Post Office Test

Today, I took the Post Office exam. It is for the position of rural mail carrier, part time fill in for those on vacation or who have a day off. It wasn't too hard. The worst part for me was the memorization section. OMGosh! I think I totally bombed in that area! I will be getting results back in about three weeks. I can hardly wait! :(((

Birthday Party

Today, my sister and I celebrated our birthdays together. We invited our friends and family to her house in the country and we all had a great time. We bbq'd steak, chicken, burgers and hot dogs. We sliced potatoes, added butter, onions and shredded cheddar cheese, wrapped it all in aluminum foil and put it on the grill-YUMM! My birthday was the fifth and hers is the 10th.

Studio Friday: Time/Timing

I seem to have a lot more home-alone time on my hands lately. My son has recently moved in with his girlfriend. I think I'm going through "empty-nest syndrome". I didn't realize how lonely I'd be even though he's just in the next town. I try and work more hours to pass the time and be out of the house more, but I'm really a homebody.

I find the evenings are the best time for me to really relax and enjoy my drawing or scrapping. When I'm working on a project, whether work or scrapbooking, I can be there for hours just mixing and matching and playing around and not even realize how much time has passed. Before I know it it's into the wee-hours of the morning but it's really fun to just lose myself in all my stuff.

Attention Marden's Shoppers!!

Well, a few weeks ago, shoppers at Marden's were treated to quite a sight. Two young Moose made their way across the busy intersection to get to the woods on the other side of the store (through another intersection, that is.) It was quite a shock for some of the oncoming traffic and drivers coming out of KFC parking lot, where they came through. They made it safely to the other side and into the woods finally and all was well.
